Haley

Prairie Grove

John T. Haley, 69, of Prairie Grove died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Hochatown, Okla., the son of Gussie Zay and Ethel Shelton Haley. He was a retired maintenance engineer and a Baptist. He served in the United States Army. He is survived by a son, Barry S. Haley of Prairie Grove; two daughters, Leah Deanna Martinez of Sallisaw, Okla., and Misty Crosswhite and her husband Wade of Sheridan; two brothers, Richard Flower of Florida and Jimmy Haley of Lowell; a sister, Pauline Masters of Elkins; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Springdale

Imogene Monday, 77, of Springdale died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville. She was born April 24, 1931, in O'Neal to Owen Edger and Virgie Bonnie Mae Foushee Keller. She was a salesperson with Monday's Shoe Store in Batesville.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Charles Monday; a son, Billy Charles Monday Jr. of Logan, Utah; three daughters, Charlee Jean Terrell of Leesburg, Fla., Aleca Ann Snow of Springdale and Brenda Lee Gay of Jonesboro; a brother, R. C. Keller and wife Lynette of Desha; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Batesville.

Mary Elizabeth Wright, 89, of Springdale died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008.

She was born Aug. 7, 1919, in Springdale to George W. and Rhoda Ann Cloer Bowerman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mangus Vernon Wright.

Survivors include a sister, Dora Bass of Springdale.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Joyce Cemetery with Pastor Jasper Hankins officiating.

Rogers

Ray Bezoni, 92, of Rogers died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, in a local healthcare facility. He was born March 31, 1916, in Chamois, Mo., to Homer Bezoni and Alice Perrey Bezoni. He retired as vice president / treasurer from the University of Missouri after 35 years of service. He was a Mason, a member of the Lion's Club, and retired from the U. S. Naval Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Mathews Bezoni, and a daughter, Gail Shen.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Sobelman of Columbia, Mo.; a niece, Alice Selby of Golden, Colo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Charles G. Elmendorf, 91, of Rogers died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.

He was born Dec. 14, 1916, in Barry County, Mich., to Charles Elmendorf and Alice Garms Elmendorf. He was active in the Assembly of God Church in Bellevue, Mich.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Elmendorf; a son, Richard G. Elmendorf of Longmont, Colo.; a daughter, Valle Caldwell of Rogers; a brother, Milburr Elmendorf of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
