A new gazebo and walking trail lights are giving the city a chance to celebrate on Sunday.

At 3 p.m. the city will host a Celebration in the Park at Harry Sbanotto Park.

According to a press release, the city will recognize those who have made the park improvements a reality.

Norma Lisle, an administrative assistant for the city, said a $ 14, 948. 29 grant from the state received in May was used to help light the walking path in the park. This project was also recently completed and has greatly enhanced the usefulness and safety of the walking trail and the park area in general. This project also required an investment of time and labor.

The city also recently completed the addition of an Amish-style gazebo to the park.

The celebration will include live music performances and refreshments. Visitors are advised to bring their own lawn chairs.
