Local girls compete in junior golf tour

The Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour held it's South Lakes Spring Open this pastweekend at South Lakes Golf Club in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Three Arkansasjunior girls participated in this event. Olivia Lavy of Fayetteville won herdivision as well as the overall girls division with two day scores of 75 + 77. Others placing were Anna Grace Lavy with a score of 84 + 88 and ShelbyDaniels shooting 89 + 84.
The Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour began seven years ago this August. It startedwith 150 loyal players and families participating in 6 events and a Tour Championship. As word spread through the coming six seasons the OJGT has now grown to over 300 members from six states and now boasts 24 events in the Summer / Fall 2008 season ! Since its inception the OJGT has over 76 players whom have gone on to play intercollegiate golf.
