Gibson gets 25 years for selling drugs, other offenses

An 18-year-old Springdale man was sentenced to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction after pleading guilty to dealing methamphetamine and other charges on Wednesday.
Dusty DeWayne Gibson also received a 15-year suspended sentence in the negotiated plea before 4 th Judicial District Judge William Storey. Gibson received credit for serving 160 days in the Washington County Detention Center.
The charges included in the plea are robbery, aggravated assault, second-degree battery, theft by receiving and three counts of delivery of controlled substance (methamphetamine ).
He is accused last year of selling methamphetamine three times, stealing a car by force, choking a woman, hitting a man in the head with a beer bottle while stealing a car, and possessing methamphetamine and a stolen rifle.
