Tuesday, Aug. 26 Rural Friendship Development Day The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Rural Friendship Development Day by touring the farm of the 2008 Washington County Farm Family of the Year, along with Terra Studios. The day starts with an omelet breakfast from 7: 45-8: 30 a.m. at the Washington County extension office. The bus will leave for Stacy and Joyce Cheevers'farm at 8: 30 a. m., and the group will go on a tour from 9-10: 10 a.m. From 10: 30-11: 30 a.m. the group will tour Terra Studios. Arkansas State Employees Association The Razorback and University of Arkansas chapters of the Arkansas State Employees Association will meet Thursday. The Razorback chapter will meet at 11: 30 a.m. at the Washington County health department, 3227 Wimberly Dr. in Fayetteville and the UA chapter will meet at 4: 30 p.m. on campus in the Bell Engineering Building. ASEA field representative Danny James will attend both meetings to provide an update on the proposed pay plan that resulted from the state employee classification and compensation study. There will also be a review of the association's recent annual convention. All state employees in Washington County can attend the Razorback chapter meeting, but the UA chapter is specifically for university employees. The 11: 30 a.m. meeting will be a brown bag lunch; attendees are also asked to bring canned food items to donate to the Ozark Food Bank. International Association of Administrative Professionals The Razorback Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will hold its monthly meeting at 11: 30 a.m. in the AT & T Conference Room at the Engineering Research Center, 700 Research Center Blvd., Fayetteville. The program will be from the Lily Tomlin Customer Service Training Series - One Ringy Dingy ®: You Are The Company. The program is open to all administrative professionals. Thursday, Aug. 28 Business Before Hours The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will hold Business Before Hours at 7: 30 a.m. at Telecomp, 2403 Main Dr., Suite 3 in Johnson. This is a free event for all Fayetteville chamber members. RSVP by calling 521-1710 or e-mailing chamber @ fayettevillear. com.

Friday, Sept. 5 Washington County Judge Forum The Governmental Relations Committee of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will have a forum for the Washington County judge candidates during their regularly scheduled meeting at noon at the chamber office. The candidates for the Washington County judge position are Marilyn Edwards and Earvel Fraley. Attend the form at no cost, but lunch is $ 9.
