ROGERS — There are 125, 000 square feet of vacant space at the old Kmart building at 2115 W. Walnut St., and the parking lot remains virtually empty, save for that small portion currently used by Rogers Outdoor Sports on the west side of the building. A proposal before the Rogers Planning Commission on Tuesday, however, could change that.

Bryan Hunt, the owner of the Kmart building, is asking the commission to amend its existing conditional-use permit to allow even more outdoor display of vehicles at the building. The current permit allows 500 square feet for Rogers Outdoor Sports to display 15 boats.
