Bentonville

Robin Gail Piper Morris, 47, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born June 15, 1961, in Bentonville to James Robert "Bob" Piper and Ila Marie Slaybaugh Piper.

She was a homemaker and lived in Eureka Springs, Ark., before moving back to Bentonville. She enjoyed crafting and bead work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Ila Piper.

Survivors include her husband, David Morris; a son, Casey Robert Bridges of Pea Ridge, Ark.; three sisters, Hazel Mabry of Springdale, Ark., Bobbi Piper of Bentonville and Kathy Pratt of Pea Ridge; a niece; and three nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Ark.

Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, in care of the Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers, AR 72756.

Centerton

C'Laine Hollis, 67, of Centerton, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Lampassas, Texas, to Chester Harrison Pickett and Iva Clorine Wilson Pickett.

She was a medical assistant and a member of New Life Christian Church in Centerton. She enjoyed crafting, going to craft fairs and going to movies.

Survivors include her husband, James Hollis; three sons, Johnny Darrell Hollis and David Alan Hollis, both of Williams, Ariz., and James Michael Hollis of Springdale, Ark.; a daughter, Cindy Anderson of Decatur, Ark.; four brothers, Brian Pickett of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., Gordon Wayne Pickett of Nevada and Roy Fair and Jay Fair, both of Seligman, Mo.; eight grandchildren, including Roxanne Anderson; and three great-grandchildren, including Mikaela Addison.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Benton County Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Swadley.

Burial will be at the Gamble Cemetery in Centerton.

Pallbearers will be members of the Centerton Fire Department.

Colcord, Okla.

Jimmie K. Botts, 62, of Colcord, Okla., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Gower, Mo., to Willard Botts and May Kirby Botts.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Peterson Industries in Decatur, Ark. He was a volunteer at the Colcord Senior Citizens Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Woods Botts, in 1991; two sisters; a brother; and a nephew.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Harper and Sonny Harper of Gentry, Ark.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tilford Botts and Pat Botts of Colcord and Joseph Richard Botts and Mary Botts of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Dolly May Shanks and Billy Ray Shanks of Dearborn, Mo.; an aunt, Hazel Beesley of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Larry Ellis.

Rogers

Carleton Edward Buck, 89, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in Rogers. He was born Nov. 3, 1918, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Alvin E. Buck and Vera Eisentrout Buck.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, played the piano, and sang baritone and bass in the choir. He attended Trinity (Free Church Bible Institute) Bible College in Banickburn, Ark. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He enjoyed painting and crafting dollhouses.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred Buck; and two sisters, Marvel Frasier and Bernita Hudson.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce Buck, whom he married in February 1946; a sister, Melva Jean Harris of Arizona; and 12 nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

LaVerne E. Price, 78, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.

Arrangements are pending with Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Paul Elmer Walter, 74, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008.

Arrangements are pending with Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
