Cheryl A. Bohannon, 65, of Bentonville, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark. She was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Coffeyville, Kan., to Bruce Bohannon and Lavon Bohannon.
She was a switchboard operator for Wal-Mart for 32 years. She enjoyed traveling and photography.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael Bohannon of Timonium, Md., and Nick Bohannon of Bentonville; longtime friend Pam Pike; three nephews and three nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p. m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel of Rogers.
E. Arthur Callahan Jr., 77, of Bentonville, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born Dec. 5, 1930, in Orange County, Texas, to Kathryn Walles and Edmund Callahan.
After moving from Texas, he lived in the northwest Arkansas area for more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy Callahan and Donna Callahan of Texas and Harvey Callahan of Oklahoma; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Ardith Alford of Bentonville, Cindy Callahan of Utah, Elaine Sisco and Rodney Sisco of Missouri, Kathy Harvison of Canada, Ricky and Tom of Missouri, Sharon Tate and Jimmy Tate of Concord, Ark.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Internment will be at a later date at Reddick Cemetery in Garfield, Ark., and will be announced by the family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, Ark. Condolences may be made to eptingfuneralhome @ inbox. com.
Pea Ridge
Wayne Hileman, 69, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at his home. He was born July 3, 1939, in Pea Ridge, to Olin Hileman and Lillian Hickman Hileman. He was a graduate of Pea Ridge High School, and a Commanding Sgt. Major in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1999, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a dairy farmer, a carpenter, and an industrial mechanic at Union Carbide. He was a member of the American Legion of Rogers, served on the Pea Ridge School Board for five years, was a Pea Ridge school bus driver for 22 years, president of the Pea Ridge Cemetery Board, and enjoyed playing golf, painting and traveling. He was a deacon at Freewill Baptist Church in Pea Ridge and Rogers, Ark., and a member of First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hileman; a son, Kevin Hileman of Pea Ridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi Rose and Rick Rose and Kim Gresham and David Gresham all of Pea Ridge; three grandchildren, Kari Fletcher, Duane Fletcher and Kobe Rose; and one greatgrandchild, Darrin Fletcher. Visitation will be from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, t First United Methodist Church of Bentonville with the Rev. Rex Dickey and the Rev. Brian Timmons. Burial will be at the Pea Ridge Cemetery with military honors by V. F. W. Rogers
Carolyn Simpson, 66, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. Arrangements are pending and are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
