Tiger Pride tonight at stadium

BENTONVILLE — The Bentonville Athletics Department will kick off the 2008 fall sports season with its annual Tiger Pride Night tonight at Tiger Stadium.
The event, sponsored by the Bentonville Booster Club, will spotlight the football, golf, tennis, and cross country teams and provide a sneak preview of this year’s teams.
Admission is $ 4 for adults and $ 1 for students, with all proceeds going to the Bentonville Booster Club. There will be a Fun Zone for elementary and middle school children and a new element called Jungle Games will be added to this year’s format, something Tiger fans will also enjoy at football games this fall.
A booth will also be open to purchase the latest Tiger merchandise. Booster Club memberships and Tiger Brick Pavers can also be purchased. Events will begin at 5 p. m. with the following schedule:
• 5 p. m., Jungle Games on the field;
• 5: 15 p. m., Fun Zone opens;
• 5: 15 p. m., 8 th-grade football scrimmage;
• 6: 15 p. m., 9 th-grade football scrimmage;
• 7: 00 p. m., Presentation of state championship rings to boys’ swim / dive team and girls’ track team;
• 7: 15 p. m., BHS cheer / dance perform; and
• 7: 30 p. m., Sophomore / JV / varsity football scrimmage.
