Democrats, Republicans get ready for Benton County Fair

BENTON COUNTY - Both major political parties are busy making sure that people who attend the upcoming Benton County Fair can get all the information about political candidates they need.
The fair will run next Monday through Saturday at the county fairgrounds in Vaughn.
Democrats and Republicans plan to have booths at the fair filled with information about their candidates for various political offices, ranging from president to constable. And there will be people on hand at each party's booth to answer questions about candidates, issues, voter registration and other election-related matters, representatives for both parties said.
Democrats have expanded the size of their fair booth, taking two booths this year instead of the one they occupied last time, county Democratic Party Chairwoman Barbara McCoy said.
Mike Sevak, a member of the county Republican Committee, said the GOP's booth will be adorned with big, recognizable signs. "It won't be hard to find," he said.
