Employer recognized for support of Guard

Multi-Craft Contractors Inc. recently received the Above and Beyond Award for Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve. About 600 people watched demonstrations Aug. 13 by the University of Arkansas System’s Division of Agriculture at the Rice Research and Extension Center near Stuttgart.

Visitors at the annual event toured research plots, viewed educational displays and heard reports on programs to fund research in rice, soybeans, wheat and other crops. Also, biofuel processes were demonstrated. Video game maker to introduce product Brainstem Games LLC of Eureka Springs will showcase its first title at the Austin Game Developers Conference on Sept. 15-17 in Austin, Texas. The new game, ON Chapter 1: Obscura Nomen, is a 3-D space shooter for personal computers. Up to 32 players can take on the role of pilots in a series of space battles.
